The EDO considers that the IPC should be supported to continue to its role of independent decision-maker within a transparent and accountable regulatory framework, as a key part of the NSW planning system. Our submission argues that this Review should recommend that the IPC be retained and makes additional recommendations for improving its policies and procedures and for improving transparent and accountable decision-making in the NSW planning system more generally.
