Environmental Defenders Office (EDO) welcomes the opportunity to provide the following brief
submission in response to the Draft Validation (State Coastal Policy) Bill 2024 (the Bill). In providing policy principles and outcomes for the management of State waters and all land to a distance of one kilometre inland from the high-water mark, the State Coastal Policy 1996 (SCP) is an important component of lutruwita/Tasmania’s Resource Management and Planning System.
