EDO welcomes the opportunity to make submissions on the WA EPA’s proposed revision of its Environmental Factor Guideline for Greenhouse Gas Emissions, which guides how the WA EPA considers greenhouse gas emissions in the environmental impact assessment process.
While the WA EPA is to be commended for reviewing the content of the Guideline, it requires substantial further amendment to ensure that it is aligned with the latest climate science and consistent with the WA EPA’s legal obligations.
