While the EDO has accepted this opportunity to comment on the Draft Tasmanian Salmon Industry Plan (the Plan), we acknowledge and support the concerns raised by many groups and individuals about the timing and process for consultation on the Plan and the Government’s response to previous feedback on the 10-Year Salmon Plan. EDO has already provided numerous, detailed submissions outlining how lutruwita/Tasmania’s marine environment could be more sustainably managed. This submission briefly responds to the priority outcomes listed in the Plan and the associated Workplan, however, these recommendations must be considered together with our previous detailed submissions.
