EDO invites the opportunity to make a submission to the Inquiry into the Human Rights (Healthy Environment) Amendment Bill 2023. EDO supports the Bill as an important step towards recognising the standalone human right to a healthy environment in the ACT. Our submission outlines why the right to a healthy environment should be fully enforceable and makes three key recommendations to strengthen the Bill.
