Environmental Defenders Office (EDO) welcomes the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed changes to conservation planning decisions.1 We note this first tranche of consultations includes 185 entities (157 threatened species and 28 threatened ecological communities) proposed to not need or no longer require a Recovery Plan, and that this proposal is based on the Threatened Species Scientific Committee modernisation of conservation planning under the EPBC Act.
