JO-ANNE BRAGG – EDO Qld Principal Solicitor |

Jo-Anne Bragg graduated from Sydney University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws. After working with law firm Minter Ellison in Sydney in company and commercial law, Jo moved to Brisbane in 1992 to take up the position of Solicitor at the EDO Qld, and is now the longest serving EDO solicitor in Australia.
Jo has provided invaluable legal advice and legal education to members of the public and community and environment groups, and has made critical contributions to reforming Queensland’s environmental laws, particularly in successful advocacy for expanded third party enforcement rights. Jo has worked on many successful test cases concerning the Commonwealth and State environmental laws.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing games with her children, cycling and bushwalking. In her personal capacity, Jo ran as a candidate for Mayor of Brisbane in 2008. |

Sean is specialist planning and environment lawyer with degrees in both Law and Environmental Science and a Masters in Environmental Law from University of Queensland. He worked for government departments and private consultancy before entering private law practice with Corrs Chambers Westgarth, where he practiced for 6 years and attained the position of senior associate.
Having worked for all levels of government and a range of industries on broad ranging environmental issues, Sean brings a broad perspective to assisting the community and public interest at EDO. In addition to assisting with the general functions of the office, Sean is focusing on climate change related litigation, education and law reform. |
ARIANE WILKINSON - Planning & Environment Solicitor |

Ariane holds degrees in Law (Honours) and Environmental Science and a Graduate Diploma (Legal Practice) from the Australian National University. Ariane served as an Associate to a Judge in the Queensland Planning and Environment Court in 2008 and 2009 and completed 18 months with the courts as the Associate to the President of the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Prior to joining the EDO Qld Ariane practiced in environment and planning law at Clayton Utz and worked in the areas of planning and environment litigation, environmental compliance and project approvals.
As the EDO Qld Planning and Environment Solicitor, Ariane provides numerous hours of free legal advice to individuals, community groups and environmental groups seeking to protect the environment in the public interest. In addition, Ariane contributes to the community legal education and law reform advocacy work of the office. Ariane’s work with the EDO Qld empowers individuals and the community to be involved in the environmental decisions that affect them and the quality of life in their community. |
| SCOTT SELLWOOD - Climate Change Solicitor |

Scott Sellwood was admitted as a lawyer in November 2008. A former EDO lawyer (during 2008 to 2010), Scott has returned to Brisbane after fifteen months travelling and working overseas. Most recently, he worked as a legal researcher for a Peruvian NGO, where he was supporting the promotion of urban agriculture in Latin American cities. A passionate advocate for environmental justice, Scott is dedicated to working with communities most affected by natural resource related decisions and climate change impacts.
Before joining EDO in 2008, Scott worked as the Associate to a Judge in the Planning and Environment Court of Queensland. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (with honours), Bachelor of Environmental Management majoring in Sustainable development (with honours), and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Scott is making progress towards a Masters of Law, specialising in environmental law, at the Australian National University.
Outside of work Scott is an avid bushwalker, bicycle tourer, (novice) sailor and experiments growing healthy food in the city. |
