- IPA Review
02 November 2006
The Integrated Planning Act 1997 (IPA) is Queensland's most important piece of planning and development legislation. IPA provides the framework for planning and development at local, regional and state levels.
The government released a discussion paper - Dynamic Changes for a Growing State (August 2006) - which outlines the proposed changes to IPA. Public Submissions have now closed.
EDO argues that IPA is not achieving sustainable development outcomes and is unfairly weighted to favour development above environmental and community concerns.
