Environmental Defenders Office (Qld) Inc (EDO Qld) is a non-profit, non-government community legal centre which helps people understand and access their legal rights to protect the environment in the public interest.

Our lawyers provide access to justice for Queenslanders who can’t afford commercial legal assistance by:

- Providing education and advice to help people understand their legal rights and how to exercise them;

- Developing plain-English fact sheets, handbooks, guidelines, and bulletins to help build the community’s legal skills and knowledge.

With the help of volunteer lawyers, EDO Qld now offers a telephone advice service, each Tuesday and Thursday between 5.30pm and 7.30pm (commencing 19/03/2013). Please read our advice and casework guidelines before you call.
