The Environmental Defender’s Office NSW, in conjunction with the Australian Centre for Environmental Law Sydney, presents ‘Best Practice Climate Law: What would climate laws need to be effective at the international and domestic levels?’
The presenters will be drawing from their experiences as delegates at the Bali UN Climate Conference.

6. Mount Annan Botanic Gardens Photographic Exhibition: A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall
“Oh, what did you see, my blue-eyed son? Oh, what did you see, my darling young one?” These words, first sung by Dylan in 1963 about the Cuban crisis and the feeling of despair as to whether tomorrow would come, have now become the motivation behind a moving and confrontational photographic display by photographer Mark Edwards.
The outdoor exhibition will be on display from Sunday 1 June til Friday 11 July at Mount Annan Botanic Garden.

7. Climate Action Network Australia Conference 2008
The CANA Conference has been the peak non-government sector climate change conference since 2003, shaping our response to this urgent challenge. In 2008 the conference will explore how we can Turn Australia into a Climate Change Leader. The 2008 CANA conference will bring together opinion leaders on climate change from across our network, as well as business, government and academia, for the first time this year.

8. PILCH Event: Walk for Justice
Lawyers in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria will ‘Walk for Justice’ at 7am on Monday 19 May 2008 to coincide with a similar walks being held in London and various other locations around the UK. The inaugural walk is a fundraising event for the Public Interest Law Clearing Houses (PILCHs). Law firms and barristers' chambers are encouraged to get walking teams together to be a part of this historic first ‘Walk for Justice’.
